Artificial Intelligence Services Terms

1. Scope of AI services

BorealHost.ai offers the following artificial intelligence services, integrated into its hosting plans:

1.1 AI Modules

• RAG Chatbot: automated responses to visitors based on your documents
• SEO Optimization: automatic generation of meta tags, titles and descriptions
• Bilingual Translation: French/English translation preserving HTML formatting
• Content Generation: creation of blog posts, product descriptions and pages

1.2 AI Agents

• Domain Advisor: help with domain selection and DNS configuration
• WordPress Developer: development assistance with file editing tools
• Site Assistant: site management, backups, performance optimization
• Claude Code: full CLI access to Claude Code in your container
• OpenAI Codex: full CLI access to Codex in your container

1.3 Model Marketplace

The Marketplace provides access to over 50 AI models from 6 different providers, with a comparison tool and interactive playground.

2. AI services billing

2.1 Token-based billing

AI services usage is billed on a pay-per-use model based on tokens consumed:

• Input tokens: the text you submit to AI models
• Output tokens: the text generated by AI models in response
• Rates vary depending on the model used and your hosting plan

2.2 Currency and billing

• All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD)
• AI consumption is measured continuously and billed monthly via Stripe
• A billing threshold and spending limit are configured for each plan

4. Ownership of AI outputs

The client owns the content they generate using BorealHost.ai's AI services, subject to the following conditions:

• The terms of use of third-party AI model providers apply in addition
• BorealHost.ai does not claim any ownership rights over content generated by the client
• The client is responsible for verifying that generated content does not violate third-party rights

5. AI model providers

BorealHost.ai's AI services are provided by the following third-party providers. By using our AI services, you also agree to the terms of use of these providers:

6. AI data and privacy

• Data submitted to AI models (prompts, messages) is transmitted to third-party providers for processing
• According to the current provider policies, your data is not used to train their models
• BorealHost.ai does not retain data submitted to AI models beyond 90 days (conversation history)
• No data is transmitted to AI providers without an explicit action on your part

7. Usage restrictions

The use of AI services is subject to the following restrictions:

• Generating illegal, defamatory, hateful or pornographic content
• Creating deepfakes or deceptive content aimed at impersonating others
• Circumventing security measures or content filters of AI models
• Generating spam, unsolicited emails or phishing content
• Using AI outputs for automated decisions with significant impact on individuals without human oversight
• Any use contrary to the Acceptable Use Policy

8. AI services availability

AI services availability depends on third-party model providers. BorealHost.ai cannot guarantee the continuous availability of specific models. In case of a provider's unavailability, we will endeavor to offer equivalent alternatives.

AI services are not covered by the Service Level Agreement (SLA) related to hosting availability.

9. Limitation of liability

BorealHost.ai is not responsible for losses, damages or harm arising from:

• The use of or reliance on AI-generated content
• The temporary unavailability of a third-party provider's AI services
• The modification or discontinuation of AI models by their providers
• The infringement of third-party rights by AI-generated content
